The Relevance of Multimedia to Marketing

Marketing is when your having your responsibilities to value the customers, having relationship with them in order to make a profit. Giving them their wants and need and making them comfortable on the things that they need. Sharing and having a connection with the consumers that will have the consumers satisfaction and also making them happy. It is when you're making a way for the benifit of your business. When you first try to learn from others and applying it on your business, it will help your business development/grow. Having different strategy for the competitors. Presentations helps the business understand the methods/strategy needed to impove on the product and make changes for it. It helps the businessmans to visualize the pictures that their explaining. Multimedia presentation makes a lot of difference in having meeting or promotions. The presentation also helps to attract the costumers. The LCD Monitors are connected in laptops or in computers to see the presentations by many.

Digital signages helps the company advestise their products. It is an outdoor LCD signs that can be seen in the streets. It is a way of promoting a product. It also pursuade the consumers to buy the product, it is having a good relationship between of you. Mass media is a very powerful thing that every one would pay big just to advertise the products, because one of everyone of us always watch television and we see the things that are being advertise on the screen. Social networking is also a relevance in the marketing thingy; the google, the facebook, the youtube and many other site has the power to spread information about the product or even in promotions. Cellphones now a days has an acces to the internet so it can help the company spread the information about the new brands or the new infos about it. Phones is a fast communication device that will help the company know the position or the standing ( if something went wrong in the product) of what they are selling, so they can make a quick changes that will improve that damage product. If the clients has an bad feedback, they can have a quick action for it.

For multimedia projects, know who are your audiences, to make sure that your project would not be wasted. Visualize or estimate the amount of money that you will use soon. Managing a business is very important.

What to do when Rain comes

Raining is the worst day ever, you can't go outside and can't shoot neither produce a good video to make. But it's a good thing too to water plants also and prevent diseases from the light rays during a hot day. There are so many ways to do when the rain comes, you can do a lot of works only inside your house, office and also in school. If you have a lot of home works to do, and the class suspended by the distress rain, you can finish it. Also you can do choirs on your home. Eating and sleeping is the most common thing hobby I know when the rain pours. But as a Multimedia Art Student, what I do is sit on the front of my computer and surf the net and do some stuffs. I have software's that I used to edit some photos and videos. This is a fun thing to do for me when it rains because I got to learn some new things that I never knew before.

What I commonly do is to enhance the skills that I'm good at. So  I try to develop what I have and do most of the editing and distribute my knowledge to others. I really love to do the editing stuffs. The truth is I skip my meals because I do not notice the time that I spent. I can't feel my belly crumble because what I do is what I love. The software that I use is Photoshop, I post process photos when I feel like shooting inside home and try to enhance the colors. Vectoring and drawing digitally is what I'm good at, as I noticed. So every time I have no classes I try and try to have a good quality of the a vector photo. Another is this Adobe After Effects, this is so cool because you can do so much more here in this software. You can do animation, text and visual effects. I'm getting there and trying the best I could.

So having this opportunity and days is a great way to have this ability, you can do more that you can never imagine. The State of Multimedia in the Philippines

For the past few years, multimedia company/courses are not that popular here in the Philippines. But I think in other countries they do. Because here in our country we progress slowly but I know we always catch up.

In the history of multimedia, we use smoke signals to evaluate the incoming news in tribes. The cave paintings are the oldest way of communication back then( these are symbols). They would draw their experiences their and carve there their everyday living. Then we develop and we had post cards also. Multimedia is the use of media, text, video, images and also audio. As I notice that back then Philippine movies are not that high quality type and also black and white. Now we've got to know how to turn it to high definition and also do this in a colored ones.

We have now the technologies and equipment to create a international movies, international commercials that we can keep pace internationally. Multimedia Industries are more competitive now than before because we are more productive and have the skills to do so. Filipinos are trying to compete in other countries so that we can showcase our progressiveness in the world. And also as I notice that, before we buy cellphones, we've got to market branded phones from other countries. Because before we don't have the capacity to do that. So now, Filipinos keep striving to go for the best, now we built new phones that are really made locally. And also not one, but also in different kind of brands. We also now collaborate on multimedia company world wide, because we have the capability to do the same as theirs. The gadgets are the same we were using from them. We are more productive now than before.

The Multimedia Companies are the ones who are responsible for the future, they have the power to change the future by creating something new, something more digital than ever built. And Philippines can do the same too. Maybe in the future their will be billboards that are really in 3D screen that are actually like a live person.

Growing Number of MMA Students

To begin with, the population today of Multimedia Art Student has grown bigger. The course MMA, it all started in 2009 or 2010 in Lyceum of the Philippines-Laguna. Taking up this course is a wonderful experience because even though our batch has a few number of students, there are still people who makes me smile everyday, to laugh with and to talk with. This wonderful people are my inspiration also to my study. As days past in the year of 2011-2012, I thought that our course will be remove or eliminate in College of Arts and Sciences department, because our batch has the fewest student. I think twice if I would transfer, or what will I do if that happens. So I did was to not over thinking it and thinking positive thoughts. But my moments in the year 2011-2012 was so awesome, the experiences are so great. The activities makes me feel  like I should stray here until I graduate.

When I enroll myself here in LPU-L with my classmates, I saw in the faculty the number of students that enrolled on this year, I saw that MMA students are so many. So my blood pressure rise, because we will be having a lot of freshmen today. The feeling was like "WOOO!". If others asked what is my course, and answering them that its MMA, they would ask me again., "What is that? Is that a course?" So hearing that responses and compliment hurts me. We wanted to be known and to known is such a great feeling. So now that we have grown, and hoping that no one will transfer or shift, we will all show to them that we are artist, we have the ability to change the world. We had a Grand Assembly in Mass Comm Laboratory. Where we share and discuss about MMA and having a society in MMA also. This is the first step to be recognize. We also took our class picture (all of the multimedia arts students) and it is so much fun. The photo here was made by me. Inspired by all multimedia art students.

So being one of this is such a great feeling. More more students to come. Our family will be united forever and nothing is impossible in MMA. We grow, we enjoy and we change the world. The spirit of MMA will never disappears in me.

Multimedia Company

Multimedia industry is a form of company whereby they produce videos, visual effects, text, still images and 2D-3D animation. We can see it on televisions and in movies. They also create posters, billboards and commercial for the said product or something. Which is awesome because it is related on our course and we get to interview the persons who create this unbelievable stuffs. Most of the multimedia industry hire some of the greatest animators, but if you have the skills and can create something spectacular, they might hire you. For my opinion, even though you are not gifted in brains but when you have the talent and the skills you might get hire. They have a team building group from which they cooperate with each other to create a advertising commercial, or a movie or whatsoever that is related to multimedia. Multimedia company helps the world to develop by improved graphics, and also the technologies like computers, television and many more. The trending job today is Multimedia artist, so I decided to enroll this course plus this is what I want to live for the rest of my life. It would help my family, and also to fulfill my dreams also. My skills may help me to get a job to some of the famous multimedia industries.

Last year 2011, (CommTech Subject) we were task to call or to talk some of the multimedia company to ask few questions. What I did is to look in the internet, and found so many companies. I try to get their numbers and the name of the company, put it in my phone and saved it. Fortunately, I found a company that response on my text. The company was EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTOR AND SERVICE CENTER of NEC Projectors. So I realized that they have many works and plans. I discovered that he is working almost for 6 years, and he learned a lot and he went to abroad to. I was fortunate to find this kind of company where they are very open to all students too. As I observe to, that their creative process where : Preperation, Incubation, Illuminations, Verification.  And their Staff meeting where once a week. Also, they brainstorm for atleast twice a moth, because brainstorming is very important to a company, this will bring out new ideas and suggestions. And also I learned that they have various team members like: Engineers, Business Managers, Accountants and in Sales and Marketing. So knowing this things is a great honor. It helps me to have knowledge in the outside and real world.

Every second, every minute and every hour, we progress, we enhance and we develop so here we are Multimedia Student create something different. As others said, the future is in our hands.

Changes In Me

Whenever months and years passed by, we progress and change a lot in ourselves. Now I'm a 2nd year student, my thinking skills is more mature than before. But when it comes to my friends and foolishness, my mind stays still young because being young is fun more than you can ever imagine. Don't drag yourself onto something that you won't be happy and enjoy. When it comes to study, I am more serious and focus today. I'll try my very best to have a good grades for the benefits of my parents. Changing is a good thing to do, don't stuck yourself to the things that you always do. An artist is creating something new and different. I am more confident today, and closer to MMA students. I will never be afraid again, i'll be confident to have a better life.

Last year my Photoshop skills are not that good, and now I am more related on the tools that i'm using. I'm being curious on the colors that I'm using, unlike before i'll just put colors that are not even connected onto my subject. And also i'm trying to not be late on my subjects. Organizing my files is also a change for me, after learning Adobe Bridge, it is more fun and easy to manage my files. The craziest thing that I notice to myself now is all the billboards, the tarpaulin and the designs, i'm so curious today than before. I'm thinking that, is that the right composition or the right color or even is it a right design for that kind of theme. Well, having this on my mind everyday that I travel, I'm having fun with it also. At the same time, i'm also laughing inside, am I crazy or something? Or that's how MMA students think? There's a lot of questions in my head right now, but having this feeling I think, is creativity. 

Even though I have a lot of mistakes back then, my lesson is learn from my mistakes. Don't cry if you are being scolded or something, don't cry if your being shouted. It is just a lesson that whenever we make failure or errors in our life, stand up and prove to the world that we are special. I'm trying to be the best, I just wanted to be recognize for once in my great works. I'm having dreams that I want to commit. Making my family proud is the best feeling. Really! I wish that all of the changes in my life would keep me up for my assuming goals. 

Transition in Adobe Bridge

Organizing your files is very important to us Multimedia Student, because you've got to create many and tons of files in your desktop and whatever device that your using. Like pictures and videos ( videos are big in memory compare to pictures). Adobe bridge helps us to arrange files from folder by folder. If your a first timer, you'll be confuse because that's what happened to me before but if you use it very often you'll get use to it. You can find it in your Adobe Photoshop Software, any CS(Creative Suite) you have in your desktop. You'll find an icon "BR" on the top of your toolbar. Before using Adobe Bridge I have my own discipline to organize my files in different folders whether its videos, or photographs or its graphic designs. It is a better and easier way to locate files that is even hard to find. If you want to edit or just post process it you can do it here also. You can also customize the colors that you prefer.

Having the basics are more important because when using the basics, you've got to explore more about organizing stuff. This is base on my experiences on Adobe Bridge. I've learned that when importing photos from your camera that, it is better to plug the memory card on your desktop than USB cable lines, because once importing photos you may move the cable wire accidentally, then moving process can be cancelled but when plug in memory cards direct on your computer, you may drag and drop it so no damage won't affect your importing process. I'm amaze on the keywords and filter things, because after you put in the keywords that you want and just by clicking the filter tab you can see there the files that you want to use. And there's this Camera Raw thing that after clicking it, you can edit the colors, you can also crop there. Collections are ways to put them in folders, you can drag the photos there and you can also label them on which you prefer. Smart collections are the automatic ones that helps you find the files faster. Or you can see them by ranking stars.

One thing is the review mode it helps you mark the photos and videos easier, by simply pressing the ctrl + B , then it is in the large and carousel like. The pictures that  you don't like, you can press the down button on the keyboard so that it will disappear on the screen, and when returning on the work space, all the photos or videos that are in review mode are in mark control. There's so much things to discover and Bridge is the easiest and the most organize file that I encounter, i'll be using it for the rest of my life to be organize and having a clean computer as well.

What I Am Now

Thinking about the past were quite funny to remember, because all of the exhausting days, the tiring and stressful nights just to do home works are worth to work on, 2 more years to go and all of my hard work will  be pay off. This is for my future, to be a Multimedia Artist. Experts on how they do visual effects, digital editing like that stuffs makes me inspire to do that as well. But I'm not that fully skilled right now. Still learning to be the best Animator rather to be a best Multimedia Artist I could be. I have high dreams like the universe and a skill like a thunder.

However, after 1 year of study. I experience a lot and learn a lot, too. Just thinking about it now I can still feel the pressure. Final exams that make me stress every night, but this is for our own good also. It made me think that a little tolerance would pay off a year. As a 2nd year MMA student today, it is very easy for me to edit pictures and video because before I have problems on how can I do this or do that, where can I compare it to that, or what color combinations or what is bla bla bla. My point here is Im better that before and every semester I'm accelerating for what I'm good at. Every time I saw Billboards It make me realize or think deep if they put colors correctly? I am now more analytic and curious than before.

History of Arts are very helpful for us, because we know more now the styles and also what are their strategy to create art back then. Artist always make mistakes, and so do I. I always make mistakes often but professors correct it, and that is how I learn, learning from your mistakes make you a better person and a good artist in the future. So I'm glad that now I am studying thanks to my parents. 

Having stressful projects and home works are fun to do especially when it comes to editing videos or editing pictures, it makes me challenged all the time. Now I am confident of what I am doing right now, and I want to be the person to be headed up high after I graduate the course of MMA. I want to make my parents proud of me for what i'm doing right now. After all of that, my 2 months of vacation is like relaxing all day long and not thinking about anything except all I do is to explore new things that I didn't know, learn from Photoshop and etc. 

So to sum it up, 1 year of study and 2 months of vacation is a great deal for me. 2 months of vacation is like to loosen up a bit and not to be stressed. I've learn a lot after a year and I except that every semester I would excel my self and push everything just to be a better rather to be an inspiring MMA artist someday.

BLOG-8 : 20th Century Art

This era or period is more like in the modern type but since it is related or become the modern art, and this period really began in modernism, so for short all of it was more on improve and progress art. Things changes and also art also change but styles are still their. I think, theirs a lot of style here in the century art.

Vincent Van Gogh is a painter who is really a successor in Fauvism that uses impressionism which he paint what he really express from the meaning itself. In here, they just paint very harsh and paint nudes and also patterns that are linear but when you are a artist you never care if they're nude or what so ever, its all about how you present and express your art or the arts. While Die Brucke he is a great painter in oil canvas. He also represents the expressionism style which he emphasis and controlled, meaning they just paint carefully and like soft paintings.

Like I just remember we just tackled about Cubism and the very most famous painter here in this kind of style is Pablo Picasso he used this. And now their are 2 kinds of Cubism ; the  Analytic Cubism and Synthetic Cubism, well analytic from the word itself they just analize. The Trompe l'oeil means makes the illution of depth like 3Dimensional. Synthetic is a form of papers that are cut and put together that is like fake from cubism. Papier Colle is known as Collage now a days.

Furthermore, Dynamism is also said here in this era, it means great energy or force of the painting in the canvas or wherever it is, and it is also constantly in motion.

Here in this period, their art works are like movements, the motion itself is more important than the subject matter itself.

One of the architecture of this period is the 291 gallery is an art exhibit or gallery it is the most famous building in New York, it is created and managed by the famous photographer who is Alfred Stieglitz and also it is known as the " Little galleries of the of the Photo-Secession".

This painting is a "Composition with Red, Blue, Yellow", in our color theory subject we study all the types of color schemes, as an Multimedia student we should know about this things. So the schemes is Primary colors and it is painted by a dutch painter, he is a great artist he is Piet Mondrian. As the reporter said beauty is simplicity and simplicity is the beauty and it all makes sense. Also De stijl means the Style. Fantasy art depicts angels, monster and etc.

Another painting is a Twittering machine, the medium for this painting is paint ink and water color, it is very cool because they just used simple medium and yet the subject rather the painting still stands out. And as I know it also depicts as childish. From those who are anti-art they are called Dadaism, they are against art by using art also. It is like disrespecting the art.

BlOG-7 : MODERN ART

I learned so many things and great stuff in the History of arts. Now I and also we discover the styles of every period. Also the designs, the artist and the style of the painting and architecture. Studying this things makes our skills improve as a Multimedia artist. This is very cool to study also, because its all about art.

The modern art is all about improvement or rather on the name itself, "Modern". It is changes. It talks about Neoclassism which is a french revolution and this period the Roman empire was made a model. It is inspired by the classical period also. This is an example of this period. It is "The oath of the Horatii", this explain drama and also it is a paintertism and shows courage. It has orthogonals and the floor is not horizon and the most topic or the most climax of this painting is the hands and the sword in the middle. That's what I remember about this painting and this was painted by Jacques-Louis david, he is a very nice painter.

Angelica Kauffman who is a woman great painter/artist has a painting that is " The artist in the character of design" He depicted her self in the painting and also show drama and tension which I learn in the Baroque period. I was very amazed on to those who are Rubenistes because they don't made or do draft they just paint directly on the canvas without using any sketch or something they are very hardcore for me. But their painting are like scatterd because it direct like that. And also their is Poussinistes who are drawing drafts they are called the linear artist and it almost true to perfection. The U.S capitol has a hint of classical art because of the architecture and like the poles, I think it is like the Pantheon.

Romanticism is related in Baroque period and they use baroque compositions. The painting " The Third of may" uses a Chiaroscuro technique which uses light and shadow. In this period Photography was made/publish because every era has an improvement. And the first camera that was built was Daguerreotype. It has a light and when the light flashed and it reflect and capture the image through it.
Vincent Van Gogh was famous for this period, he is a dutch master, his mind was kinda crazy and it is not like normal. Because he made a painting that is kinda like very strange. It it the "stary night" As i remember, it is his most famous painting I think. The painting "The scream" Is an image that is like shock or show a sensational emotion. If you know the movie " The Scream " it is the one in the movie, they took the image and made it the bad guy. It is pretty awesome.

The styles in this period was; Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, Post Impressionism and Expressionism.

BlOG-6 : ARTS BEYOND THE WEST

This era is all of the combination of the past few topics like the the ancient art, the classical art, the christian art, the renaissance art and also the baroque art. All of this has a connection between all of them.

Byzantium is where also in the christian art, where Constantinople where place. And it has Vessel that is bronze and also has a part of lamp either a burner. They have an art that is tapestry fragment that was made in woven cloth.

The Indian art is an indian painting and sculpture maid in india. It is also in the modern but it still have its traditional forms. It has its cultural, religions and philosophy art as well. As I observe their earing are gold and it is also big to fit in their ears. In the video that I had watch they are actually big and looks kinda heavy because of its gold and the structure and design of the earing. The indian fresco ( Fresco is a type of medium in painting in cave painting in stones ) It is found with prehistoric art that has a many kind of it. And also the Taj Mahal was created by the Mughals. Theres a story behind it. It was a gift by the the husband to her wife, I think they are empire or something. Mahajanas is the follow of the Lord Vishnu. Vishnu was the Gods of distruction and also he is the Gods of dance. For example of their miniature painting is the Guru Granth Ragamala which was painted in a palm size leaf which show a very unique skill by the Indian artist, it is so amazing how they fit their art work on a leaf that was actually impossible but they did it.

The Iconic art  is started by a realistic idealism, which they combine human and also their attitudes and proportion.

The Japanese art had created ancient pottery, sculpture, bronze, ink painting and also they are now creating cartoon which what they are famous now. Pine Wood by Hasegawa Tohaku is an example of art that they made in ink on paper which they represent a bamboo that said to be that it is not important if it has mountains, they only show or paint bamboos can still stand whatever climate would pass through it. It can stand by itself. I hope you understand the meaning that pointing out.

In African art, they are very traditional. They represent the people, the societies, the civilizations and with ther each special cultures.

In Iceanic art they are native people who live in pacific islands and also what I observe they are rich in stone, wood carvings and painting and also they carv symbols and their era's all about.

Each and every art has a unique skills and creativity. Im so sorry that I didn't understand much about their period but im pushing myself to understand it.

BLOG-5 : THE BAROQUE ART

We are now finish on the period of renaissance period, here I am writing down all about in the baroque period. It also has a connection in christian art because they also discuss churches and cathedrals but not all of it, just some few topic. In this period they are centered or focus in exaggerated techniques or styles. It has a characteristic which is motion, tension, detail, drama and grandeur in painting sculpture and also in lectures. In motion it is more obvious because in this period it is all about capturing the events or the happening of the subject. They create / made or paint or make a sculpture that what is really happening. For example is David which has a different represtations and also different artist that they present, what I'm saying is they create a painting that has movement in their period. Next is tension, here they show more tension also. Like they really create visible muscles or veins they really show what emotion they what to show us. When the painting shout, you also see the tension their because they show a veins there. Next is detail, what I observe it is more on detail, what they see is what they really paint, they have this style that makes the painting or the subject more sureal, just like that. In drama there are various painting and sculpture that has drama for example is the "Adoration" by Peter Paul  Rubens, it shows more drama and movement also, it tells a story or it has literature. They also has an intense emotion. The last is grandeur, for real I really don't know what grandeur means. Im very sorry.

What I said earlier it has a connection christians, all of the hard work of the baroque has assisted or helped / encouraged by the Roman Catholic Church. It has 2 styles it is the Naturalism and Classicism, they are very more classic and also they made painting in their everyday life.

 They also has a theatre, which they play a  different scene and story that also show drama. They have music that shows art. And they develop and their painting, architecture and sculpture got famous and they improve which leads to another period. It is more related on my course, it makes my skills excel.

BLOG-4 : THE RENAISSANCE ART

In this era, it has a connection with the christian art as I know. It is means rebirth of the ancient. And this it has new techniques in using styles of painting. It is more on depiction of nature through their deep observations. What they see is what they paint in nature. And this influences the classical texts and the improvement of the oil painting and it's development.




In this period, their are artist that was famous on this kind of era, it was Leonardo da Vinci, he is an Italian artist. And he is a polymath. I think polymath means it has a lot of interpretation of him or a plenty of skills, I think. That's what I understand about that. And he created the most famous and top painting in the world. It is the Mona lisa also known as La Gioconda. Their are many revelation behind that painting. Not also that painting. He also painted the Last Supper. It contains Jesus in the center and his 12 apostles. The second artist is Raphael Sanzio, he painted the School of athens. I don't know much about this painting but I do remember a little. And the last artist is Michelangelo Buonarroti and he is also a polymath like Leonardo. The sculpture that he made was the Pieta, it is Mary who is carrying Jesus on her lap. And he also created the Sistine chapel, that was so impresive and cool. That was hard work. And also the most famous sculpture that he carved was David that, the 'David and Goliath' story, and their are many represtational of David.

In the history, their are Mannerism, their are mannerist. Meaning of this it is an artist that was copying direct from nature and copied art insted. Means that what they do is a secondhand. What I wrote earlier the christian art and the renaissance are connected but not all of the topic. The other architecture was the same as the christian art, like the Florence Cathedral, but they have their own representational. And this style is all about Classicism.

BLOG-3 : THE CHRISTIAN ART

This period is all about christianity. I've learned so many things here. And I discover a lot, that I could'nt imagine. Art history is very important to us multimedia students, we get to know the possiblities and advantages of art. We can stock to our minds that back then has a lot of things that ancient people can do, that can amaze us with their skills and talents.

In this era, christian people are very religous, obviously. They hide their human dead underground but not only that, they hide their sculpture and churches. And their are Catacombs as they call it. Because back then christian people are prohibited and stict to this period. Like for example, Saint Denis - he is a christian martyr and a bishop of Paris. And for not following the rules, he commit christianity and his head was chopped off and pick his head up and walked for 10 kilometers and preaches sermon in his entire way. So that how strict back then.  When Constantine was throne in the Byzantine Empire, he agreed with the christians and big cathedrals was build in land and it was not strict anymore.

Furthermore, there are also sculptures that was in front of the cathedrals, like the Jamb statues that also represent something. There are rose window also in front of the churches. They are like flowers. Now, all churches where everywhere. Big cathedrals can be seen in Paris, Europe and also here in the Philippines and many more places. And also mosaics are inside the churches.

BLOG-2 : THE CLASSICAL ART

This period is very influencial to us because of it arts that has been attached to us. With their sculptures they represent almost their Gods and others superiors and with their livings. But as I realize and observe it is more on Gods like for example is the Olympian Gods. I remember some Gods like Goddess of Animals is Mara and Fauna; God of War is Ares and Mars; God of Love is Eros and Cupid. As they report I learn and adopt what they are discussing.

Their are symbols that are used in Geometric period, it is the horse, the armed warriors and the chariot. And Terracotta are clay's as I remember. In classical art in Greece are divided into four periods it is the Geometric, Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic. And I forgot to write they has an architecture like the temple of Hephaistos, it is very cool because of its structure it is very proportion.

Back then, the sculputures is not much on movements, so their sculptures are steady almost. They don't know how to create it in motion, but when time passes they figure it now how to create it in motion. This period is very amazing because of its surprising happenings back then. We must treasure the art history.
